What would you like to tell us about yourself, your collecting, or business.

Have been collecting since 1962. Have worked for Detroits Lions, Tigers and Pistons. Primary interest was in sports. But since 1980 have been in the licensed music and entertainment field which has helped me focus more on music and hollywood vintage autographs.

Why do you collect?

I've known many athletes and movie industry people and the energy they bring is contagious. They perform at the highest level to achieve their dreams. They rub off on the people they are with and hopefully instill optimism and faith in me so that I feel with hard work I too could be my best.
The simplest answer would be that they make me feel good about myself. I guess it's not really a simple question. One example is that I've known Bobby Hull of the Chicago Black Hawks since 1964 and I've never known anyone more talented or more humble and gracious. One of the greatest hockey players in history taught me humility, a lesson I remember 47 years later.

What is your favorite autograph in your collection?

Signed Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris 8 x 10 I obtained in person in 1964, an autographed baseball I had signed in person at the 1971 Detroit All-Star Game which includes lot of hall of famers and Roberto Clemente before he died.And a full size Gallo poster signed by Mickey Mantle .
