Hi I,m interested in some Autos I found on the Ebay seller  Skyline-Signatures http://stores.ebay.com/Skyline-Signatures site,  Would you say this is a safe seller to buy from?  I know it's a minefield out there so ANY informed opinion would be Very much Appreciated.

Many Thanks

I thought that white sheets were blank on the back and did not have any identifying marks.  The Tim Burton sketch that I purchased from them is definitely on a white sheet.  The autographed photos that I purchased from them appear to be on quality photo paper and are all 8x10 in size.  I always believed that Skyline Signatures had their photos developed in a lab.  I could be wrong of course.

Mike do the Autos that you have bought from Skyline have Identifying marks on the back of them?

Yes.  The only one that is blank on the back and is larger than an 8x10 photo is the Tim Burton sketch, but that is understandable.  Here is a link to it.

There are no marks on the photo. All photos are printed in a professional photo lab. The marks you may see on back of photo are serial markings that photos are coded with in professional photo lab (IE COSTCO)

They are not always blank. They can have reference to HP or Epson or Kodak (as Kodak makes both inkjet and actual lab paper you have to be careful) or many others. If I remember correctly the Costco brand is blank.

Its been my experience that you want Fujicolor, AGFA, Fujifilm or very specific Kodak words on the back.

They are printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper.  I did my research.

Thanks for the info there Michael, I have just looked through My collection to check if I have any White sheets, SIGH of Relief, I seem to have evaded them so far.

Is this from World of Autographs?  Michael had warned against white sheets in the past but I believe that he may have stopped once he believed that it was no longer a concern.  He and I communicated last year about this topic and he was very helpful.

COOL LOTR Autos there,  I,m thinking of putting together my own Collection (I already have Sean Bean's)  living in Sheffield Beans home town and a place he constantly visits one just needs to hang out at the bars frequented by him.   One Auto that I, am looking at is Tolkien s, It goes into the £1000's but What a piece it would make.

Thank you for bringing up white sheets, I had heard of them but didnt think many people ever did that. One more land mine to beware of.

Thanks DVT.  I would love to own a J. R. R. Tolkien autograph as well.
