Enjoy. 1956 SP signed 1/1977. DS from 1972 while McGavin was shooting Night Stalker original films, hence no directing income. Original 1973 double weight studio portrait as Kolchak.

And a nice 5x7 b/w single weight publicity portrait of Simon Oakland, remembered for his role as the psychiatrist in Psycho but beloved by me as Tony Vincenzo in the series The Night Stalker with Darren McGavin. His arguments with Kolchak are legendary. Dedicated and inscribed in black felt tip C. 1970's. A scarce signature, here presented in good form on a still in excellent condition. The spots at the start of the graph are caused by an interaction with the ink and the photo paper and is sometimes seen on signed photos from this period.

Eric, those are three great pieces to have of two wonderful actors.  Simon Oakland is often underappreciated but is excellent in Kolchak, Psycho, and Sand Pebbles.   McGavin and Oakland had great chemistry, but I always felt they should have beefed up Oakland's role.

Hi Scott,

Thank you so much :) He is one tough signature on any photo.  I agree - it would have been great to have Vincenzo involved and dragged into one of Karl's adventures and get to see something for himself!

Eric,  A nice McGavin you have there. I have the same Simon Oakland in my exemplar file……If you posses this photo it is good to be you!!

Hi David,

Thank you! McGavin in tough on any photo. Yes, I have that Oakland and consider myself very lucky - when you can find him it is always some film - this is not a Night Stalker image but surely looks like one :)
