It's been put back a year from October 2021 to  October 2022.

Probably the right decision to cancel orders.I know Waterstones cancelled orders last year when racing driver Fernando Alonso's book was delayed for a year.

Waterstones haven't cancelled mine yet (and hope they don't) - was it WH Smith cancelling?

I received the same e-mail from WHSmith. Truly sucks that they chose to cancel, now I don't know if I can get one again. They should give purchasers the option to re-order.

My Son and I ordered ours from Waterstones and we've yet to hear about a cancellation

Just guessing, but maybe them cancelling preorders has to do with how long they can leave a charge pending? I've never ordered from them before because I don't think they ship to the US, but does WH Smith charge your card when you place the order, or do they wait until shipping like Waterstones?

They charged straight away, don't think it matters, look at buying gig tickets, could be over 12 months in advance

I just got an update from waterstones:

"The publisher has advised us that this title will now be supplied later than previously advertised. We now expect it to be available by late October, a year later than originally planned, owing to a number of complications caused by COVID restrictions. We will dispatch your order as soon as we have received stock.

to me its one of the most anticipated books for this year
