What is your favorite autograph in your collection?
A.L. ball signed by Williams/Terry, last two .400 hitters. Both sigs acquired in person. (Williams signed first, Terry 18 months later. I handed Terry the ball and he said, "That S.O.B. Williams--always has to sign on the sweet spot! Don't I hate playing second fiddle to him," etc.
Why do you collect?
The act of signing one's name is an art form accessible to anyone who can write. Each one is a deeply personal piece of art.
You can ask anyone living or dead for their autograph. Who would it be?
