There are a few reputable authentication services that provide a quick opinion. I used PSA in the past but all I got back from them was a single sentence on an item that said "Likely Not Genuine" with not even a sentence or two of why that opinion was offered... annoying but that is not my main question here.
My main question is (if in fact I have found a genuine item that is being listed at a bargain) and I send a link to that item to someone to "quick authenticate" am I also giving them a heads-up to become a expert bidder to bid on that item against me (provided of course the item is authentic)?
Have I unintentionally created a bad situation for myself by creating more competition for myself?
