I just saw the tail end of this. Probably because the news shows were all focused on the Tiger tail.

(I heard the reason he was out so late the night of the Escalade crash -- he and his wife were out clubbing)

Anywhooo...this big, heavy set African-American, was trying to sell a black surgical mask that belonged to Michael Jackson. He told the British reporter (who I believe worked for News of the World) that the glove sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and that you could still smell Jacksons cologne on the mask. He even said he could test it, and probably get his DNA.

After his offer off $200,000 was turned down, he agreed and shook hands, to the tune of $150,000.

Jacksons lawyer had some angry words about it all. So, I have no clue how this will all play out.

I do know, in a real auction, an item like that wouldn't fetch nearly as much as the white glove. Because, most of us just assume that Jackson had multiple surgical masks (where do you find a black one, too? imagine seeing a doctor come in to do work on you, wearing one of those; I'd scream, thinking he was Dr. Death!)

But the white gloves were part of Jacksons persona, onstage wardrobe, etc.

We'll see what happens.
