Autograph collectors are certainly not the easiest people to purchase a gift for.  That is what makes purchasing an autograph for someone who is not an autograph collector so much fun.  Imagine a family member who is a New York Yankees fan receiving an Aaron Judge autographed baseball.  Or a friend who is a Star Wars fan receiving a Daisy Ridley autographed photo.  That is the magic of autograph gifts.

A Charles Dickens autograph would make a wonderful Christmas gift.  Only a Santa Claus autograph would be more meaningful.

Some of the first autographs in my collection included Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti and Phil Rizzuto.  Two cut signatures, and a baseball.  The first two autographs were achieved in person at the Metropolitan Opera House.  The third was a gift from my best man on my wedding night.  They were all meaningful to me, which is why I gave them to my children.  The autographs were given to them as gifts when I realized how much they admired them.

I have also received autograph gifts from my children over the years.  My daughter added a Frank Robinson autographed 1988 Topps baseball card to my collection.  My son added a John Ratzenberger autographed index card to my collection.  Both were achieved in person, and are among my favorite autographs.

It is actually not very difficult to purchase a gift for an autograph collector.  The gifts will always become the most memorable pieces of our collections.  I know, because I have received quite a few, and they all hold a special place in my heart.  It is also a pleasure to give the gift of an autograph to a person who is not an autograph collector.  Autographs make fine gifts, regrdless of a person's interests.

I wish you all a very happy and healthy holiday season.  Happy autograph collecting in 2020!

Always a great and easy gift and very nice when you receive something. I've given a few sports autographs to family and friends over the years from Schumacher signed items to Jack Nicklaus. I received an Elton John signed photo a few years ago and it's an amazing feeling seeing that someone really got you something you love. Merry Christmas!
