I bit unusual but I am leaning toward authentic.

On second thoughts, they are certainly fake.

I, personally, think there are issues with all individual autographs. I'm not a rolling stones expert, but they don't look authentic for various reasons.

For me the large rip would eliminate it immediately.

This comment about the rip being a deal breaker is a certainly valid opinion.  Would this be a good candidate for a proper paper restoration?  A skilled conservator could do a pretty seamless job since the tear looks to be clean (that is, if it's authentic!).

What's written on the back of this?  It looks like there is some show through from writing on the verso.

I'm sure if you offered him £200 he would take it. I'm not an expert when it comes to Rolling stones, but I can recognise a fake when I see it.

I think what Eric meant was the tear was a red flag

How would the tear be a red flag? I think finding out what's on the back is a valid question.  It's all part of getting the whole picture.  I'm kind of thinking along the same lines as Joe W.

Who's offering this?  That's also a factor that would be helpful to know to get a sense of things.

Condition, nothing to do with authenticity. It is a serious tear. I stay well away from damaged and restored items. I see them as problems. Undamaged original for me.

An unblemished vintage item is ideal.  Unfortunately, vintage can mean showing it's age and having been subjected to less than ideal conditions over decades.  I have had pieces restored in the past to remove stains, replace borders, remove emulsion on glossy photos, etc..  For me it was a sense of curating the past....especially something unique.  I did stay away from the ink itself and instructed the conservationist to do so.

I've also purchased restored material if I knew it was something I would likely not see another of.
