Hey Folks!  I traded a buddy of mine for this check that was supposedly endorsed by the late Harry Chapin.  I know it doesn't look like the normally flourish-y looking Chapin sig, but was hoping it was his "check endorsing signature" and not a secretary or something.  I know Chapin did a show at the Macauley Theatre around the same time period.  Worst case, I have a Edwin J Pape Jr...Any help?

Doesn't even remotely resemble anything I've seen from him.

I agree with you, Brick.  I wonder what the law is on endorsing someone else's checks...I'm sure famous people do it all the time.  Thx for the input, I was hoping maybe Harry had a "generic" signature he used for checks and documents and a "fancy" signature for fans.
