David Bowie price?

I've been offered this 12x9 litho limited to 50 and signed in pencil. I have no idea on price. How much would you pay?

It won'e be cheap. That is his "Heroes" self portrait. My Friend Andy at davidbowieautograph will give you an accurate value if you email him. I authenticate Bowie's - I don't give values generally. It is a superb piece. My guess would be well north of $800.

What I’m struggling with here is finding anything that documents a version of this Heroes self-portrait that was published as a limited edition in 1995.  I could be having a senior moment, but I just don’t remember any such print being made available that year.

1995 was a big year for Bowie, and for me as a fan.  He held his first major, solo art retrospective in London, in April.  I spent several days at the Cork Street exhibition, where I bought my first piece of original Bowie art directly from David’s dealer, Kate Chertavian.  Later in the year, I attended some 15 Bowie gigs in three different countries.

Like I say, I could just be forgetting that particular limited edition, but I can’t find anything about it online either, so I would encourage you to research it before you buy.

N.B. There was a limited edition of 120 copies of this lithograph, produced for promotional purposes in 1978 and signed by David in red pen, together with a further 155 unsigned copies.  These are now extremely rare and collectible, especially the signed edition.

I recall something about it and that is certainly Bowie's signature and he numbered it himself as well. Perhaps from his website.

Andy has one. They were found by DB manager and given to virgin management.
