I’m not a cheerleader for TPAs.  I’ve written plenty of critical things about them on here.  But they do provide some positives.  Plus, I was referencing PSA, JSA, and Beckett above...and Roger Epperson...the more reputable TPAs.  Anyone can print up a nice COA or LOA.

On ebay, you can find a plethora of enchantingly official looking and ornate COAs that aren't worth the paper they're printed on, once you look at the piece they accompany! lol

Does it concern you that Piece of the Past has a bunch of items authenticated by Global available on their site?

It does. But I judge each signature differently. I’ve seen Tom Brady’s with a GA and said no way. And one or two that I’ve seen that looked authentic with a GA cert.

this Ruth looks so close to classic examples though and it’s not GA cert. we will say what JSA says. I am no expert, but if I see live ink tomorrow I’ll be shocked if it’s not authentic

I’m referring to a supposedly reputable dealer who has a bunch of items authenticated by a company known for forgeries.  Not referring to the Ruth, just the trustworthiness of the person.

The key to autograph collecting.. trust no one.

ive done more research on this than any other
